Forever — A Short story

That afternoon, I passed that Sushi place again, and my mind wandered to a conversation from a moment that was

“Hey how come we never got to try that Sushi place? We drive pass it almost every day.”

She smiled

“We’ll try it someday.. We have forever between us, anyway, right?”

I smiled

But in the end..

We never got to try that Sushi place.

We never got to do all those plans and sweet promises that once were.

But in the end.. You left

Now parts of me wants to forget

But still, parts of me can’t let it fade

Because it’s the only thing I have left

Of a person I once thought was fate

In the end you left, and I realised

Forever has different meaning for you and I

And when I said I love you forever

I love you, forever
